If you’re coming from a long distance to look at a specific item it’s always a good idea to give us a quick call in advance just to make sure that we have stock of the item you’re interested in and that it is currently on display.
We’ve been doing this for a while now and we’ve build up a good deal of knowledge about what works and what doesn’t. We’re happy to share our experience with you, We have a proven track record in design and installation that stretches back 30 years.
Quins have been doing this for a long time. We have long term relationships with overseas manufacturers. Due to the volume we sell and buying in bulk we are competitive without compromising on quality. Because you are dealing direct with the importer the prices are better.
Quin Sports & Nets use a range of carriers, utilising different services for different sizes parcels and different locations. Our staff determine the most appropriate service to suit your order. As a general rule, couriers are used throughout metropolitan areas and for larger orders, Australia Post is used for rural areas, and DHL is used for international orders.
Every order we send has item TRACKING, so you can track the progress of your delivery. If you have a specific courier requirement simply enter it in the special instructions section when you order.
Because we are shipping parcels all over Australia we have great rates.
We will work out the best courier for your local area. Then we will negotiate a price with the courier and get back to you with a good quote.
Of course, this depends on what you’ve ordered and where you are. Some of the products we sell, like our tennis post and cricket boxes, have to be physically manufactured before we can deliver them and obviously this takes time. Other products are off-the-shelf and usually dispatch the next day.
Standard delivery times:
Obviously, the delivery time can vary, especially in rural or remote areas…. So please us the above as a guide only.
We’re here to answer questions and solve problems. Call us direct on 08 84473577 and once you explain what the problem is we will do our best to solve it right there on the spot or put you through to the person directly responsible for solving your specific problem.
We recommend using a hot knife to cut our nets to stop the knots from coming apart over time.
All our products have high amounts of UV inhibitors placed in the product at the factory and are made for our extreme UV conditions.
We sell our netting in bulk or cut it to your specific requirements for a small cutting fee.
No. It is a knitted fabric and uses a lock stitch construction. The knotted netting will hold in most cases. The cut edge will be raw but it will not unravel.
No. It will dissipate a small amount of rain but not a significant amount.
The netting fabric is very colour fast however over the longer term some slight fading can occur when the fabric has been constantly exposed to environments of high UVR.
Domestic shade cloth is made with a tape filler to increase its opacity. This tape filler is knitted into the fabric between the strands of monofilament. Think of monofilament as being like fishing line. When it is knitted together it forms a fabric, in this case, shade cloth.
The difference between domestic and commercial shade cloth is that commercial shade cloth is 100% monofilament (knitted fishing line). It has no tape filler. This makes commercial shade cloth very strong and suitable for use under tension. Domestic shade cloth is not suitable for high tension applications such as shade sails because the tape filler stretches at a different rate to the monofilament. Domestic (Universal) shade cloth is designed to be spread over a frame work, like a pergola, not tensioned out like a shade sail. Note, Ironstone Commercial 80% shade cloth is 306gsm whereas, Universal 90% shade cloth is 200gsm.
